FORUM: I'm Starting the Chrono-Geno-Nutrition Diet

Im Starting on Monday 15 October 2012

Hello,

Welcome to the Chrono-Geno-Nutrition Diet! My name is Gisa, and I am your community manager.

This forum thread is for everyone starting the program this coming Monday, 15/10/2012. In this forum I would like to hear from each of you as you first introduce yourself to the group and tell us more about your goals. This is also a really good way for you to meet new friends and to support one another when you feel like youre moving slightly off course.

Now in order for you to succeed, I would like you to do three (3) simple things. This should only take 5 minutes of your day. To make a lifetime commitment to your well-being, please:
1. Read your session for the day AND watch the video of the coach
2. Ask a question to the team of dietitians (click on "Tools" in the left column, and then "Personal Questions")
3. Take the time to refer to your shopping list and meal plans.

Finally, if you have any questions about the website, you can always call us at (02) 491 7676 Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm.

Good luck to all of you!

All right, for now, the goal is o have proper nourishment of your body and to boost your immune system. You can eat congee. drink fresh vegetable juice, calamansi, lemon, orange juice. Drink at least 8 glasses of water and have a good rest.
Resume your diet when you get well.

Keep me updated.
Looking forward to have you back on the diet following the meal plans.

Get well soon!

Hi Laarni, I got sick with the flu last Wednesday and even today I still have a fever. I have not been able to follow the meal plans at all because I can not tolerate solid food when I get sick, I can only eat Congee (Lugaw) especially since I also have cough and colds. What should I do? Do I re-start when I get well and have an appetite again or can tolerate solid food?

Coffee is not favorable according to our blood type, but if it will make you unhappy and lose interest in dieting because of deprivation, I must say, I have to allow you 1 cup per day. Use Stevia as sweetener. If not, coco sugar or muscovado. Only a teaspoon.

Hi, I'm type O, am I really not allowed to take coffee?

Low fat cheddar cheese, yes.

These stores are mostly online. You can try here:

If you want to have fun in the kitchen, you can try this recipe for vegan cheese:

What You’ll Need

large, nonreactive (stainless steel or glass) bowl for soaking
blender or food processor 3 sheets cheesecloth
large strainer
Cheese Making 1, 2, 3

1. Soak Place nuts or grains in bowl, and cover with at least 3 inches cold water (the nuts will swell as they soak). Soak 12 hours or overnight, away from sunlight. Drain soaking water, rinse nuts, then drain again.

2. Blend well Purée soaked nuts in blender or food processor 6 minutes, scraping down sides of bowl often to ensure creamy, even texture.

3. Drain and dry Drain cheese through cheesecloth-lined strainer to eliminate excess moisture and concentrate flavors. Bake at low temperature to remove moisture and firm up final product. The longer cheese bakes, the more crumbly it becomes.

Tip: Using agar
The secret to success when adding agar to vegan cheeses or desserts is to simmer the flakes in plenty of liquid for about 8 minutes, or until all the bits have dissolved. (once cold, undissolved agar flakes turn grainy.)

Me too! Can't find soy cheese anywhere! What is a specific example of a specialty vegan store and where are they located?
:-S Can we eat low fat cheddar cheese as a replacement?

You can buy soy cheese from specialty vegan stores. If there's none, you may just use silken tofu instead.

I'm having a hard time finding soy cheese, where can I get them?

@riacalleja: Yes, as long as you keep it black, or with stevia, or with your recommended milk allowance. I would suggest that you consume not more than 2 cups of coffee a day :)

hi,, its my first diet day! ack! question, am i allowed to drink coffee with stevie in between meals?
