What is a BMI calculator?
A BMI (body mass index) calculator is a simple program that calculates the BMI of an individual. The Body Mass Index (BMI) is calculated by dividing your weight (in pounds), multiplying it with a fixed number (703), and then dividing it by your height (in inches) squared. BMI = [weight (lbs) x 703]) / [height (in) x height (in)].
For example, a person who is 115 lbs and measures 5 ft. in height has a BMI of: (115 x 703) / (60 x 60) = 22.46 BMI, which corresponds to a healthy weight.
-
Can I continue the program after 6 months?
Yes, you can! The length of the program depends on your goal weight and your progress during the program. The Chrono-Geno-Nutrition Diet is made up of 3 distinct phases :
Phase 1: Rapid Detoxification lasts for the first two weeks.
Phase 2: Prolonged Detoxification lasts until you reach your target weight.
Phase 3: Stabilization lasts depending on how much weight you’ve lost, calculated as one month for every 1 kilo (or 2.2 lbs) lost. For example, if you’ve lost 50 kg (110 lbs) during phase 2, then phase 3 lasts for 50 months.
Therefore, you can continue the program for as long as you want and continue to have access to your personal account and all the tools necessary for a successful program.

All these recipes are part of the meal plans, so they are easy to find. As you progress in the program, you will learn that it is about the nutritional balance of your meals and that you need to find the same food groups when replacing certain ingredients in your original meal plan. In both cases you have a meat, a starch and a serving of vegetables.

Dietary Questions:

Am I allowed to snack in between meals?
You can have a snack between 4-5 in the afternoon, to respect the principle of chrononutrition. Choose from fruit (low to medium glycemic index), a serving of good fat (nuts or avocado), 2 squares of at least 70% cacao dark chocolate, and tea.
-
What if I do not like the food in a certain meal?
You can replace foods that you do not like as long as they are equivalent in calories. We will not force you to eat food that you do not like! To help you, visit the List of Food Equivalences found in the Bonus and Meals in the left side of your navigation bar.
-
I deviated from my diet; how can I prevent weight gain?
If you had a cheat day, you need to go on a fast for the following day to prevent weight gain. You need to fast for 18 hours. You can do it at 4 pm until 10 am of the following day, or at 6 pm until 12 noon.
-
I love vegetables, can I eat them anytime I want?
You can increase your intake of raw vegetables or cooked vegetables if you're hungrier than usual.Just make sure they don't contain any added fat. You will find a "List of vegetables allowed in unlimited quantities" in the "Bonus and meals" on the leftside of your navigation bar.
-

Check it first to make sure.

You can have water, tea, coffee and some light sodas. If you get bored with water, add a sprig of mint or a squirt of lemon to give it a little flavor, without adding any calories.
-

From time to time you can treat yourself to candy or chewing gum during the day, but know that even if some are called "sugar-free" it does not mean they don't contain sweeteners. Each piece has about 2-4 calories. It doesn't seem like much, but it would be best to be reasonable when consuming this.
-
I love chocolate, Am I allowed to have it?
Chocolate makes us happy, so this is definitely allowed. Although it is rich in magnesium, you should not use this as an excuse to eat too much of it. Instead, make it a treat and have 2 squares of dark chocolate of at least 70% cacao, at your 4 pm snack.
-
My weight has reached a plateau, what can I do to resume weight loss?
First of all, remind yourself that weight loss is not linear, and this is in fact normal. It depends from week to week, and it is fastest at the start of the program. That said, if your weight remains stagnant for several weeks, you have two options to boost weight loss:
1. Go back to phase 1 for 2 weeks, and then move on to phase 2 again 2. For faster weight loss, you can do phase 1 and phase 2 for two weeks each alternately.
-
How do I manage my diet while on holiday?
If you go on vacation, your role will be to keep an eye on your plate. In order not to gain weight, it is important to maintain a balanced diet and therefore make choices regarding your food.
For breakfast, it's all about protein and vegetables. In addition to your sugar-less drink (Chauchard tisane, green tea, or coffee), eat a source of lean protein (lean meat or lean fish, eggs) and a dairy product with 0% fat (milk, yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese). Finish your breakfast with vegetables if possible (melon, cherry tomatoes, radish, cucumber, etc.)
For lunch and dinner, here are my tips. Eat mostly vegetables (raw or cooked) and pair them with meat or fish of your choice. Always choose the leanest pieces: skinless chicken, ham with the fat trimmed off, sirloin, roast beef for meat; and salmon, cod, monkfish, sardines, mackerel, etc. for fish. You can also eat the shellfish and crustaceans of your choice! End your meal with a dairy product with 0% fat, as usual.
Also, pass on dessert. You do not need to tell others that you are on a diet. Eat small quantities of everything, but when it comes to dessert, politely decline or don’t order anything. People around you won’t notice.
Be mindful of the glycemic index of foods and try to avoid those in the high glycemic index. The meal structures can also be a handy tool for you to carry when you are on vacation. This way, you can still enjoy your holidays without neglecting your diet.
If you are away for longer, then you will have to also pay attention to seasoning, even asking for sauce on the side, and by regulating quantities.
But most of all, enjoy your holiday, and you will have time to return to your diet program.
Before leaving, do not forget to pack your suitcases with your Chauchard tisane and remember the golden rule: avoid starchy foods and fruits!
