skim milk

I am lactose-intolerant so I drink lactose-free skim milk, which Laarni has said I can take instead of the non-fat milk in my meal plan.
That being said, what is your opinion on the thoughts in this website about skim milk being unhealthy?

Thanks for your input.

Hi matchfox!
Actually, the particular article you cited do not include sources to support its claims. As long as you are getting your skim or nonfat milk from a reputable brand, and if the package is not tampered with, it is safe to consume. The level of calcium absorption is the same whether you drink whole milk or skim/nonfat milk. And as for the article saying that drinking skim milk can cause nutritional deficiencies especially of Vitamin A and D, that is just not true. You can still well-absorb the Vitamin D that is added(or fortified) in skim/nonfat milks. Moreover, you can also get these vitamins by eating a balanced diet with vegetables, fruits, fatty fishes and healthy oils.
